Canipep is the research and advocacy community behind Fieldnotes. Canitide formulas are made and sold by our sister company at canitide.com. They are sold for research purposes and are not FDA-approved drugs. No controlled canine clinical trials have been completed for any of the compounds.

No instructions for use

Canipep does not recommend doses, mixing, injection techniques or treatment protocols. Fieldnotes may contain contributor-reported administration history; it is a record, not an instruction to repeat it. Dosing cards for Canitide formulas are published by Canitide and are its responsibility.

Research labels are not approval

Calling a substance “research use only” does not establish safety or effectiveness. Veterinary involvement, quality testing and an oral format do not by themselves change a product’s regulatory status.
