The idea
Canipep is the research and advocacy community around peptide science for dogs. Fieldnotes keeps private, dated owner journals with linked receipts; the research library labels every source by the model it studied. Our sister company Canitide makes and sells the Canitide Pen and six formulas at canitide.com and sponsors the six study notebooks here.
Where things stand
Canitide formulas are reserving now for a first production run. No controlled canine clinical trials have been completed for any of the compounds, and Canipep has not established safety, efficacy or appropriate use in dogs. The notebooks are observational; they are not clinical enrollment.
Who we want to meet
- Veterinary professionals: Evidence gaps, useful endpoints and the realities of veterinary practice.
- Peptide researchers: Literature, material identity, reproducibility and translational questions.
- Development & quality partners: Feasibility, documentation, device usability and a lawful development path.
- Animal-health connectors: Introductions, editorial conversations and relevant professional communities.
What would make a first conversation useful
- One research question or unmet need worth evaluating.
- A source, constraint or practical consideration we should understand.
- An introduction or a clearly scoped next step, if there is a fit.
We welcome critical feedback. Changing or stopping a concept can be a useful outcome. An introductory conversation does not require patient information, unpublished results or confidential material.
What Canipep brings today
A working community platform, a source-linked research library, an evidence-reading method and an open brief. We are seeking expertise and relationships to make the record better.
