Canitide formulas are reserving now at Canitide ↗

THE JOURNAL / 4 min READ CANIPEP COMMUNITY

The questions we want to put in the room.

An open invitation to the people who can help shape responsible canine peptide development.

Canipep is the research and advocacy community around peptide science for dogs; its sister company Canitide makes the formulas. The next useful step is to bring informed people into the conversation.

We are seeking veterinary, scientific, quality and animal-health perspectives before choosing a product-development direction. The six Canitide study notebooks are open questions, and the record that owners keep in them is what we want informed people to read and challenge.

Start with a worthwhile question

We want to understand which canine needs are poorly served, what existing care already does well and where a peptide-specific research question would be worth pursuing. A compelling mechanism is one part of that discussion. So are clinical relevance, feasibility and the ability to measure a meaningful outcome.

Let the evidence change the concept

Our notebooks should stay open to revision. A useful conversation might narrow a notebook to one question, suggest a better measure or explain why a question should be retired. We value those outcomes as much as enthusiasm for the initial idea.

That is why our research library separates the model studied from the question we might want to ask about dogs. We also created an evidence-reading checklist to make those distinctions easier to discuss.

Four perspectives we want to hear

  • Veterinarians: Which evidence gaps and outcomes deserve attention?
  • Researchers: Which findings are robust enough to investigate further?
  • Development and quality specialists: What would an assessable specification and evidence package require?
  • Animal-health connectors: Which people or communities could challenge our assumptions productively?

A useful first conversation

A short introduction, your field and one question you think we should be asking is enough. We do not need patient information, unpublished results or confidential material in an initial inquiry.

There is no product supply program or clinical enrollment behind this invitation. Canipep is at the concept and relationship-building stage. Any later project would need a separately agreed scope, budget and appropriate review.
